Work on organizational skills
Modified Accommodation Plans including regular reviews
Keep parents informed on student progress by phone and email
Assist students is making up work due to extended absences
MBA (Mini Battery of Achievement) Testing, this is used for initial screening to determine the strengths and areas of concern for the student.
CAPSOL style of Learning Assessment can also be given to help the student understand his/her specific style of learning (Ex: Visual, Auditory, Sequential, Global, etc.)
CARE Team meetings (Children At Risk Evaluation) This team is made up of the student, parents,
and teachers. We come up with a workable plan
The Alternative Learning Center is here to help students experience success in learning through the creation of good study skills that will remain with them through out life. This is a program that is exciting and rewarding to me as the director. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to assist our treasured students.
